Our Story

Lambda was established to tackle the challenging task of teaching machines how to see and learn.

2012

Lambda launches our machine learning-powered Facial Recognition API.

2013-2016

Established an internal GPU cloud to support Dreamscope and other AI image editing products.

2017

Introduction of the Lambda Quad Deep Learning GPU workstation and the Lambda Blade GPU server, the world's first plug-and-play Deep Learning supercomputer under $20,000.

2018

The launch of Lambda GPU Cloud and Lambda Stack, a comprehensive AI software repository.

2021

Series A investment: Lambda secures investment from Gradient Ventures, Google's AI-centric fund, prompting Lambda to pivot its attention towards Cloud and Software services.
